The Concept
The idea behind Sunset Grove Residence was to create a family home that harmonizes mid-century modern aesthetics with the serene beauty of Palm Springs. Inspired by the desert’s warm hues and timeless charm, the design emphasizes natural materials, clean lines, and vibrant, playful accents for a truly bespoke living experience. The concept focused on blending functionality with elegance, ensuring every family member had a space to call their own, from cheerful kids’ rooms to a sun-filled retreat for relaxation.
Implementation
The home’s architectural details were carefully selected to embody both style and comfort. A large checkered kitchen tile anchors the space, paired with rich dark brown wood cabinetry. A breakfast seating nook, attached to the kitchen island, faces expansive backyard views, inviting moments of family connection. The sunken living room, with its intimate layout, and the sunroom, filled with natural light, provide versatile spaces for relaxation and entertainment. Bold color palettes, such as the yellow-striped accents in the kids’ rooms, reflect playful energy, while the red brick exterior with black-trimmed windows and a green front door delivers striking curb appeal.

Outcome
Sunset Grove Residence is a space where design and purpose converge. From the checkerboard kitchen floor to the sun-drenched interiors, every detail enhances the family’s daily life while maintaining a timeless aesthetic. The exterior's vibrant palette and textures echo the home’s dynamic yet grounded character. This is more than a house—it’s a thoughtfully curated oasis that embraces modern living while honoring the mid-century legacy of Palm Springs.
